Familial Mediterranean fever

Supplements studied for familial mediterranean fever.

Overview

Familial Mediterranean fever has one reviewed supplement: Eleuthero (WA 44; low effect size, low evidence, medium trust; one study). In children, a combination supplement containing eleuthero and other herbs taken for one month reduced how often, how long, and how severe flare-ups were compared with placebo in the trial summarized here.

It is unclear whether eleuthero alone provides this benefit, since it was not tested in isolation and other herbs were included. Evidence is limited to this single combination-product trial. See the heatmap and evidence reviews below for details.
