SupplementDEX

Fat Loss

Supplements studied for fat loss.

Overview

Fat loss has two reviewed supplements with low-trust evidence. Creatine (DEX Score 48; low effect size, medium evidence, medium trust) taken during resistance training may lower body fat percentage by increasing lean mass, though absolute fat mass often does not change much. Whey Protein (DEX Score 44) showed no meaningful benefit for fat loss.

Overall, supplement evidence for fat loss is limited and does not strongly support either product for reducing body fat on its own. See the heatmap and evidence reviews below for ratings and study detail.
