Oral candidiasis

Supplements studied for oral candidiasis.

Overview

Garlic is the only supplement listed for oral candidiasis, with low-strength evidence from one small study. Applying garlic paste to the mouth for two weeks appeared as effective as a common antifungal medicine for oral thrush.

This finding comes from a single trial with low ratings across effect size, evidence, and trust. Larger studies would be needed to confirm whether topical garlic is a reliable option.
