Rosacea

Supplements studied for rosacea.

Overview

Gamma-Linolenic Acid (GLA) (1 study) is the only supplement studied for rosacea. In a small eight-week trial, adults with rosacea took GLA daily alongside the antibiotic minocycline. Those receiving GLA had better skin hydration, greater treatment satisfaction, and were twice as likely to achieve clear or nearly clear skin compared with antibiotic plus placebo. No serious side effects were reported.
