SupplementDEX

Brain tumor

Supplements studied for brain tumor.

Overview

Only Lycopene is indexed for brain tumor, with one low-rated study (WA 44) for effect size, evidence, and trust.

In a small study of patients with certain brain cancers, lycopene at 8 mg daily for three months did not improve how well treatment with radiotherapy and chemotherapy worked compared with placebo. No meaningful advantage on treatment response or efficacy outcomes was observed in the indexed trial.

Evidence is insufficient to support lycopene as an adjunct to brain tumor therapy. See the evidence review below for full trial details.
