Breast cancer-induced hot flashes
Supplements studied for breast cancer-induced hot flashes.
Overview
Only Nattokinase is indexed for breast cancer–induced hot flashes, with four low-rated studies (WA 36) for effect size and evidence and medium trust.
Indexed research on soy and soy isoflavone supplements has not shown reliable hot-flash relief in breast cancer survivors. Clinical trials generally found little or no improvement compared with placebo, and soy foods or supplements are not considered an evidence-based treatment for hot flashes after breast cancer.
