Myopia

Supplements studied for myopia.

Overview

Bilberry is the only supplement listed for myopia, with low-strength evidence from one small study. A fermented bilberry extract taken twice daily for four weeks appeared to improve focusing ability and dim-light vision in adults with nearsightedness compared with placebo, increasing the eye's focusing power and clarity under low light.

These findings are preliminary and come from a single trial with low trust ratings. More research is needed before any benefit can be considered established.
