Overview

Coenzyme Q10 (WA 56; medium effect size, low evidence, medium trust) has medium-strength evidence for Peyronie's disease. In early chronic disease, 300 mg daily for 24 weeks reduced new plaque formation and plaque size and improved erectile function versus placebo, with slower progression in about 76% of treated patients. Acetyl-L-Carnitine (WA 44; low effect size, low evidence, medium trust) may reduce pain and slow progression in one small study, appearing more effective than tamoxifen in early disease.
