Neck pain
Supplements studied for neck pain.
Overview
Alpha-Lipoic Acid is the only supplement listed for neck pain, with low-strength evidence from one early study. It is not known whether alpha-lipoic acid alone helps; that trial used a combination product with another antioxidant plus physiotherapy, which reduced chronic neck pain in about 50% more people than physiotherapy alone.
Because the supplement was not tested in isolation, its specific contribution is unclear. Low ratings across all dimensions reflect the limited and indirect nature of the evidence.
