Allergies
Supplements studied for allergies.
Overview
Only Avocado is indexed for allergies, with one low-rated study (WA 40) across effect size, evidence, and trust.
A large Finnish study found that pregnant women who ate avocados had babies with a significantly lower risk of food allergies in the first year of life—around 44% less—compared with non-consumers. The study did not find clear effects on eczema, wheezing, or other common allergy types.
This is observational dietary data rather than supplement evidence, and a single study cannot establish causation. See the evidence review below for details.
