Antidepressant-induced sexual dysfunction
Supplements studied for antidepressant-induced sexual dysfunction.
Overview
Only Yohimbe is indexed for antidepressant-induced sexual dysfunction, with seven low-rated studies (WA 52) across effect size, evidence, and trust.
It is uncertain whether yohimbine improves sexual problems caused by antidepressants, especially SSRIs. Some small studies suggest yohimbine may improve sexual dysfunction in people taking these medications, but the evidence is not strong enough to be confident about benefit or safety.
More rigorous trials are needed before yohimbine can be considered a reliable option. See the evidence reviews below for trial detail.
