Overview
Three supplements appear in the hangover dataset (3 studies), all with low ratings (WA 40). Ginger was studied as part of a drink with tangerine peel and brown sugar, which in one trial may have eased nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea—whether before or after drinking—but it is unclear if ginger alone was responsible.
Panax Ginseng was tested in a small study where a red ginseng drink shortly after alcohol reduced hangover symptoms and early blood alcohol levels in healthy men.
