Hay Fever

Supplements studied for hay fever.

Overview

Five supplements are indexed for hay fever across ten studies. Vitamin D and Resveratrol share the strongest ratings (medium effect size, low evidence, medium trust, WA 56). Vitamin D, often alongside allergy medicines, may reduce nasal symptoms in children and adults, though timing and dosing varied across trials. Resveratrol nasal spray may reduce sneezing, itching, and congestion in short studies.

Quercetin, Panax Ginseng, and Sulforaphane sit at WA 44 with low evidence. Quercetin alone showed mixed results, with possible benefit only in combinations. Panax ginseng and sulforaphane each have limited single-study data, often alongside other treatments.
