SupplementDEX

Cardiovascular health

Supplements studied for cardiovascular health.

Overview

For general cardiovascular health, Green Tea is among the better-studied supplements here (11 trials). Regular intake of several cups daily has been linked to lower coronary heart disease and cardiovascular mortality in large cohorts, with dose-related trends in some analyses.

Oats may improve cholesterol and metabolic markers compared with some other grains in smaller studies. Melatonin and L-Citrulline lack sufficient evidence in this dataset. Panax Ginseng has four listed studies without a summary here. See the heatmap and evidence reviews below for supplement-by-supplement detail.
