Chemotherapy-induced cystitis
Supplements studied for chemotherapy-induced cystitis.
Overview
Quercetin appears in one small bladder-cancer chemotherapy trial indexed for chemotherapy-induced cystitis. Patients took a combination supplement containing quercetin and other ingredients starting one week before chemotherapy and continuing for about a month afterward.
That study reported improved urinary symptoms during and after treatment, but it is unclear whether quercetin alone is responsible for the effect rather than the full combination. Standalone quercetin evidence for chemotherapy-induced bladder inflammation remains insufficient in this database. See the evidence review below for trial details.
