Supplements studied for cervical dysplasia.

Overview

Three supplements have early evidence for cervical dysplasia, all from small trials. Alpha-Lipoic Acid 600 mg daily for three months reduced abnormal cervical cells substantially in one study versus no treatment, but confirmation is needed.

Green Tea ointment and/or EGCG capsules improved HPV-related lesions in early work, though larger trials did not show HPV clearance. Selenium yeast daily for six months showed higher improvement rates than placebo in one small study. See the heatmap and evidence reviews below for trial detail.
