Overview
Sciatica supplement evidence is limited and mostly based on combination products. Alpha-Lipoic Acid (2 studies) may reduce symptoms and painkiller use in one trial but showed mixed results in another. Acetyl-L-Carnitine (1 study) reduced pain medication need but was less effective than ALA for leg pain.
Resveratrol and Vitamin D (each 1 study) were tested only in multi-ingredient regimens alongside physiotherapy, so standalone effects are unknown. See the heatmap and evidence reviews below.
